This subject has divided the people in two sides (that’s normal for a democracy): pro and against broadcasting such a "reality show". I think the show should not be closed/censored, instead there must be find a solution to satisfy both sides (a solution proposed by the CNA - national audiovisual council): broadcasting it in other time zone, a later one. This option would be content with the free express rights, used as an argument by the pro side (the show will continue to run) and would be content with the children protection, argument invoked by the against side (a small number of children are watching the TV so late in the day). If it’s moral or not, the relation between those two protagonist of the show, that depends to every person’s judgments and preconceptions. Myself, I think is immoral, as the CNA thinks too, HorMonica is building a career taking advantage of this old man and his money. To those who consider this relation as a moral one, I say that I respect their opinion and I’m expecting the same thing from them (to respect my opinion, of course). In a night talk show, where this matter has been commented and disputed, I heard that the TV soap opera (telenovele) have a deeper impact on children than this show. What they forgot to take in consideration is that the stories from this soap opera are pure fiction, while the disputed show presents real facts. The attitude of a guest on that talk show was very inappropriate, he was labeling all that implies a limitation (in reasonable and ethic scale) as a bolshevik, communist thing, that, good God, because of envy of the grandpa’s money, is impeding the romance between the two. That guest, might be suspected of ass kissing, boyar attitude, suspected that he is using two different measurements for the same thing, labeling the guest member of the NGO that initiated the protest as a communist person. I’m sure that, if the NGO’s member would had come dressed with Versace designed clothes, would had drive a Rolls Royce or some BMW, Mercedes, he would had been labeled as a conservator person. The kitchener guest may exercise his constitutional right to propose other TV shows such this reality show to be broadcasted in the afternoon hours. I myself, suggest him two shows: a porno one (in the name of the free speak and ethic lack existing in the TV nowadays) and a war frontline report show, that should catch and broadcast the actions of the US troops in Irak. I’m sure that the last show proposal wouldn’t be labeled by the kitchener guest as a immoral one, in my opinion.
